Bio
I am a local Memphis artist who graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in fine arts. I have been painting primarily in oils for about six years. This series of abstract paintings is inspired by the surrealist painters of the early 1900s. My subject matter is generally derived from random natural scenarios that I alter continuously throughout the execution of the paintings. As I find images in the paintings, I mutilate and paint them out creating a more random spontaneous appearance but keeping the ghosted images spiraling inside of the framework of the piece.
